When
someone we love dies, we weep because of the loss that
we feel. But we also celebrate the life of that person.
A funeral or memorial ceremony is a time to review and
to appreciate the special gifts that person brought
to the world and to us.
And end- of-life ceremony should truly honor the person
who has passed away. This means that each ceremony should
be truly individualized. The words that are spoken,
the readings and the music should reflect that individual
and the wishes of the loved ones who plan the ceremony.
As your celebrant, I will speak to as many people as
you feel are necessary to give me a complete understanding
of the person who has died. I will suggest readings
and symbols which are appropriate. You, of course, have
the final say over the ceremony content.
When the ceremony is over, I will present you with a
beautiful keepsake version of the event. |
